I believe I am a witness to a part of history here. I wonder in years to come, whether people will point to this Administration as the start of the USA descent from the dizzying heights of a Super Power. I dunno but all I know is 700k Iraqis are dead. 3000 Soldiers dead. 100k soldiers injured. For wat???

 The removal of a dictator?? Bullshit. Tis for oil and oil alone. Terrorism hasn’t decreased since the Iraqi war. Why get fake visas to come to Texas to kill dirty Americans when u can kill soldiers close to home? Not to mention kiiling someone in their country is a great way to recruit for suicide squads.

Billions of dollars wasted. Trillions proposed for use in this war. Trilions!!???  Why can’t this country put 2 billion for education and healthcare??

I am concerned. I am scared. I dunno what or where this country will be in 10 yrs. I wonder if things will improve or just get worse.

I don’t blame the  government. Not at all. I blamed them in the first tenure of the president but for voting Bush back into power again… that is on u America.. ALL on you. this countrydeserves everything happening now cuz the people are too much like sheep to vote for a change.

I means seriously, I can’t say that the prevention of gay marriage and pro life is worthwhile while 700k lives get lost. How many American deaths are worth an Iraqi one? For the ones that thot in their head” Shouldn’t that be the other way around?” U are part of the problem.

'Miracle' -- teen's heart, stopped for 4 days, beats again

Unbelievable!!! God left his calling card at the Hospital.

NEW YORK (AP) -- Daniel Walker was on his final lap jogging in his high school gym class when he collapsed, his flawed heart giving out on him.

More than four days later, his heart at a standstill, kept alive by a bypass machine, it began beating again. The 17-year-old's parents called it divine intervention. His physicians were no less amazed.

"I've been a surgeon for 10 years, and this is probably one of the most incredible things I've ever seen," said Dr. Abeel Mangi, one of Walker's cardiac surgeons at New York-Presbyterian Hospital Columbia.

Walker's father described his son's recovery in spiritual terms. "God turned around, put His hand on my son, and recharged him," said William Walker, 58, a retired sanitation worker.

His son's ordeal began January 19 when he collapsed in gym class. The younger Walker suffered from a rare congenital heart flaw that left his coronary artery pinched, giving him only 10 percent of normal heart capacity. He was shuttled to two hospitals before finding himself at Columbia, waiting for a heart transplant, attached to the bypass machine.

Walker's cardiac surgeons said they could not account for the young man's recovery.

"It's a miracle," Mangi said. "There's really no other way to put it."

Two days after it began to beat on its own, surgeons were able to fix the flaw in Walker's heart, increasing its capacity to 60 percent.

Being the gadget junkie I am, I saw this on the 8th of Feb and delighted in joy!! Free GPS sw for all?? This could be huge!!

So Saturday 10th, I forsook my wife and went to the computer, eagerly awaiting the release of this software!!! GPS goodness for all!! I am sooo there..

There is soo nothing. Just an nice website with no product to download. With the dreaded "ComingSoon" image on the screen. "Coming soon" in web speak is tantamount to " Whenever I am F**king ready"

So in an eager I can only characterizes as sick fascination, i went trolling on the net for additional news of this new software to see if I misread it. i didn't. there were lots of news websites trumpeting the same news I got. Somebody f**ked up. See for yourself.

Now I am a sick man so I keep searching this morning and I see this website. obviously, the date has changed to the 12th. No one told us. Now given that it is the 12th and free, shouldn't I be able to download the file by now?? I keep trying to click on the link but I get nothing people... Nothing..

These people must be cracking up watching us scurry for their free crap. I will sit here patiently though, hitting refresh. I will get Nokia maps and use to navigate to their Public relations office and carpet bomb it with old clunky Motorola phones and Razr shurikens.. the body count will be High..

It freezes you. Giving u comfort in the mindless inactivity of not doing anything with your life. I sit in my job hoping for a $2 increase in my hourly wage so I can spend the increase on a new TV or trinket. I need to take my chances NOW. Later will be too late. Risk sometihng NOW for a chance at tommorrow.

I need to look for jobs and seek to increase my knowledge. I need to push for more. I can't stay here and hope to be recognize. I am wanted and desired right now

Techies sites and racist views....

I have noticed a very disquieting things over the year I visit my tech sites. I usually hit up 3-5 tech news and gadgets sites to get my fix on the latest and craziest of the day. These sites are usually dynamic and change over the hour so one can come back and get a fresh dose of cool. One of them is slashdot.org. A very popular site, One notable thing is that if an article gets posted on Slashdot, the web traffic it generates usually melts the server that contains the article. The effect is called Slashdotted. Another website is Digg.com. A new site that grew to popularity real quick.  Same effect on their top 10 articles.

Here is the problem. A lot of techies love evolution and hate those intelligent design hater mongers. They feel that folks that can't see that Science is better than faith are idiots and express it so. Religion is also another good one. Say something good about Christianity and watch the trolls come and spew "knowledge" about how Xtianity is responsible for the raping of lil babies in the 1800's cuz the Pope said so.  Religion dispute, I can handle. I don't try to change people's belief these days. I respect your opinion, I will tell u mine. I figure if I am right, I will be there to say " I was right". If I am wrong, there aren't any " I told u so" in Oblivion.

What I really dislike are supposedly intelligent people espousing inherently racist views and claiming not to be racist. Now, when we start talking about evolution, we  start mixing religion, science and race!!! SO I have snotty atheists coming out of the wood works to express racist views and acting surprised if someone tells them that they are bigots…

Today, someone quoted or misquoted Darwin saying "Blacks are under evolved ". Now I don't know about u but that ish is racist. And of course, folks came into o defend the statement. Personally I don't care what Darwin said. The notion of evolution explaining why we are who we are is B.S in my opinion but I don't like folks blindly trying to explain racist notions as scientific ones.

It is a free country but come on people.. When a store fires half their work force and all are black, there is something racist about that. No need to defend that. If a woman says, I don't find white or black men attractive. That is racist. Don’t  try to use ur intellect to make it sound different. U can't perfume shit enough.

Living check to check

This shit isn't right!!!! U watch the money get consumed in petty momentary desires that get sated and disappear out of our head. Singular emotions that drill holes in our cup til we have no more. Then the waiting begins for the next paycheck. The filling of our cups and the cycle begins again.

Yet, each time we forget that our cups are full of holes and soon we look in wondering and waiting for that next filling. I am tired of this shit.Living check to check is simply a recipe for disaster yet I KNOW I am not alone.

Smoking Aces is an awesomely violent comic book!!!

I just saw the movie and I left the movie with a big ass smile in my face. The movie is VERy violent. awesome comic book like characters. Surly bails bondmen, nutso killers. And I mean Crazy!!! I loved it all. the plot was deceptively simple and allowed u to enjoy the finale which I involved enuf guns to outfit a small nation. Hyperbole aside.. Smoking Aces was awesome.

Common didn't play as big a role as I thot but he was great. He has great screen presence for a gangsta. Alicia Keys was pretty good but her colleague was a scene stealer.

Has house andnice car yet no man. She laments that other lesser  women seem to find the good men and get married while she can't seem to get past the 2nd date.

I really  like what he wrote. I think it hits the nail on the head onw aht might be causing this woman distress. 
Another comment reminded her to date interacially which I heartily agree. I don't see why black women feel that white/lation men are any less a viable mate. Such misplaced loyalty is stupid IMHO.

Firstly you can be black and gay!! Gay is an addendum to an ethnity. White ghay , black gay , italian gay.  Race> gay.   When 2 black men walk into a room, EVERYBODY knows that they are black. Not everyone knows that one might be gay. I have no response or excuse for the flamboyantly gay men. Those fags are weird.

Need for community

I was driving on my way from the gym recently. My car is my refuge. The place where my thots can be collated and categorized. I find that I need quiet and solace to reconcile the floating thots in my mind.

As I drove, I realized something. I have my wife, my companion, my homie et all. I still need community. I still need to belong to something that is inherently male.

It has taken me a long while to realize this. The need to recreate my old school friendships. Toona, Biobele at FGC Warri, My guys at Texas A&M.

One needs community. We need to have something that gets u out of your shell and meet new people. We are grown folks now. We have left almost all institutions that allow us to mingle with our age mates.

I have used different things to substitute for community for a while now. Online forums. Other things that haven’t worked properly. I have thot that it would come naturally or they will gravitate to me. I dunno what I was thinking but it was wrong. I realized that I need to seek it. I need to create it.

I need to create a community of people that I can interact with. They don’t need to fully understand or appreciate me. There could be a better reason to gather like a volunteer group or church group. I dunno what it is but I think I know what I need to do.

Being a couple is not a enuf. If that is all the companionship we need, it will get stale and unappreciated. We need to meet other people and interact, build relationships with them.

The Iphone- HAWT!!!!

I saw the future yesterday and it was good. Sweet jesus what a sweet looking phone. U got to give Apple credit cuz the Iphone is HOT. Str8t up sexy. banging form factor. I think this can shake the world.

Firstly, if you don't know what I am talking about after looking at the picture, then go to Apple.com/iphone and prepare to drool. Ok, I will ease up on the fan boy hysteria. Let look at the pro and cons of the Iphone.

Pros-

Sexy form factor- Looks polished from the get go. No clunky space to dissuade customers, ALready sleek and ready to go.
Screen- the screen is f**king gorgeous. Looks beautiful. No more tiny phone screen to peer at.

UI- THIS is the Killer app right here. If APple is able to make making and taking calls as good as the initial Ipod experience then they have a winner. The UI will sweep away about any cons I can think of Provided it is as nice as I expect.
From what I see, tapping does one thing. U can use your fingers to move the screen and enlarge and reduce images. I need to see how this works.
4-8gig HD- **Gets on KNees and THANks God** Finally!!! Just sync with music or files and GO! Awesome!! Although not the first phone to market a hd but the first one to be openly marketed in US in recent history.

OSX- I am interested on how this will work. A full blooded Safari browser on this things?? Tabbed browsing? WOW. No more WAP? I will be interested to see how that works. Maybe the WIfi on THIS phone will ork better than my DAsh.

Visual Voicemail- I thot that was huge. checking ur voice mail like mail is awesome.I have my VOIP line email me when a voicemail comes thru. Being able to choose whose VM u listen to is simple yet powerful. More control to the customer. Lord knows I want to be able to know who left a message first on my phone.
This just shows how powerful APple is. I bet they had to change somethng in their systems to let Apple do that.

GSM- Simple. it can be unlocked. if it can be unlocked. Folks complaining about price will be shocked on how expensive these suckers will go on Ebay. Can't wait.

CONS-

Price- It is freaking expensive but it is the price u pay for being a first adapter. If you look at other new phones, a lot of phones cost $399 or $499 to begin with. I dunno why folks are complaining for a phone. I know folks at work that paid $559 for a Pocketpc phone. Folks WILL buy this phone.

Carrier- Cingular. I put this as a con since I have T-mobile contract and I was considering Cingular for a while. Crap!! I guess. Though, if anyone should switch for a phone, it is the Iphone. Cingular wins big on this one though...

Battery- Non removable. WAT?? So if the battery dies, where do I put my data? I hope there is a data backup feature that one can use to backup the content sof the Iphone so when you get a replacement, u just resync and move on. I will say that most people keep their phones for a year or so. Then they switch out for the next one. So maybe the battery issue will not be a bad as I think it will be.

Conclusion: this phone gives me a geek boner just looking at it. I hope the actual device is just as good. This might be a paradigm shift that we will see the effects til 2009 when the Cingular Multiyear agreement ends.

Freedom.

 Something happened yesterday. Something huge. I got emancipated. Freed. My mind shackles were removed. It was a quiet explosion. I don't think I have fully understood where or what has happened til I do something about it.

Imagine if u could now walk again. U would want to walk but u are comfortable on that chair that you have been using to wheel ur self around.

I am free and I want to run. I want to find a better piece of cheese to nibble on. I want to flaunt my freedom. I want to see soemtihng new and spectacular.

I feel free. Now I need to knw what I am going to do with my freedom. I need to write a freedom manifesto.

Thank God for his mercies. I think I have lived a charmed life. Despite all that I have gone thru, I seem to find a way to come out on top in a strange way. I dunno how to explain it but it has really worked out for me.

Preachers and fancy cars.

I need to talk to a very rich man. I mean filty rich. The buy a car worth half million kinda rich. I want to know why you would spend THAT much money on a car. I mean there has to be a point where the cost of the car isn't true value but more of the intrinsic value of the car. The name. The prestige.

Granted, one can make the argument that the price of the name doesn't have to start in the Bently , Maybach level. It could very well start at the BMW, Mercedes level. I do agree but there is a world of difference with $100 000 and $250 000 for a car.

The Continental Spur. A beautiful car in every which way of the word. Is it that much better than the Mercedes S class S65??  I mean, is it really that better??

I decided to price out the Mercedes S65 and the BMW 7.60i with all the sweet additions. I was able to get it to $200k for the Mercedes. What else do u need? Why does one spend more?

If I remember correctly, I just woke up and realized that the Bed Head fairy had given me a near square cut. I dunno what else to say. Move over Spongebob Squarepants and Behold SquareCut BedHead.

I would like to note that my hair is totally natural. No additives to it.. When I went to a hair dresser to twist it, she didn't believe it was natural.

We started this drinking game with CSI Miami. Every time David Caruso puts his head down and raises it to say some thing corny, we drink. Every time they play the techno music to disguise the boring , mind numbing part of CSI work. we drink. Needless to say, we finally did it on the last 20 minutes of a show and wifey got buzzed. She is coherent and still walk but defintely impaired. Is this what buzzed is about?

The room is spinning around and am a little unsteady on my feet. Interesting feeling. I can't imagine what would have happened if we did the drinking game to the full 1 hr show. I don't have any desire to drive  at this state. Man, the room is unsteady..

Am allergic to the homeless

Not really but I am slightly peeved at them. Ok quick recap. Wifey and I went to a homeless shelter to help out on Xmas day. the shelter were giving free thermal underwear, hats , gloves and food out. Awesome experience, simply because it gave me pause to realize that I am freaking blessed to have what I have now.

Anyway, I came down with a severe throat infection. Coughing was very painful and I was sucking down cough drops to numb the pain enuf. I think my immune system got dropped kicked by a bunch of people with a lot more germ power than I had.

o now I am laid out in bed, drinking orange juice. hot toddies and any other concoction that my wife deems necessary for me. She even had plans for a Vicks hot tub experiment for me but I wasn't about to do so.

All in all, I would do it again. In fact, i will do it again. Volunteering for stuff lik that makes u realize what blessings u have as you exist right now. It makes u appreciate life as it is for u.

One thing though. if people hare are soo destitute.. how are folks in countries in Africa. Nigeria sef? we do ourselves a great disservice not contributing to reducing poverty in any way we can.
